A revised project area map with the flood waters attributed to the Guadalupe River removed. The light blue shading signifies the flood hazard from Coyote Creek and tributaries. (4/2010)

The Coyote Creek Flood Protecttion Project (Planning Study Phase) is located in the central portion of the Coyote Watershed. Its limits extend approximately 6.1 miles between Montague Expressway and I-280, all in the City of San José. The planning study area has been divided into areas called "reaches" which contain similar challenges. The Coyote Creek Planning Study runs from Reach 4 through Reach 14.

An earlier project map from the lower project (San francisco Bay to Montague Expressway) completed in 1996.
