The water district manages and operates a complex and integrated water supply infrastructure, including dams, reservoirs, pipelines, pump stations, treatment plants and recycled water facilities. With a significant portion of the water supply infrastructure approaching 40 to 50 years of age, the water district is carrying out major capital improvement projects to ensure each facility functions as intended. Some of the major capital improvement projects are:
- Almaden Dam Restoration
- Dam Instrumentation
- Fellows Dike Improvement
- Lenihan Dam Outlet Modification
- San Luis Reservoir Low Point Improvement
