The enrollment period is now open. Forms must be post marked or received in our offices by June 30th. Ongoing verification forms and forms for new applicants are available at the link on the right of this page. Completed forms can be scanned and sent via email to juliewilson@valleywater.org, faxed to 408 979-5620, delivered to our receptionist, or mailed to the address on the form.
Are you 65 years old or older? Live in your own home as your primary residence? The Santa Clara Valley Water District offers an exemption for qualifying low-income seniors for the Safe, Clean, Water Creeks special parcel tax. The tax was approved by the voters in November of 2011.
The Enrollment Period is April 15 to June 30. All new applications must be received in this office by June 30 to be exempted for the upcoming property tax year. If you miss the enrollment period you must wait for the next year.
- Please note that mobile homes in parks and homes that are in an irrevocable trust are not eligible for this exemption.
Once you have submitted the application, you do not have to re-apply every year. In the spring, usually by the end of March or early April, we will send you a letter asking if you still qualify. Once you have returned your verification form for ongoing eligibility, we will remove your property from the property tax roll for the Safe, Clean, Water charge for the next property tax year.
